When we first transferred the GEOLUTION concept to 29er Trailbikes with the first prototype of the ION G13, we broke new ground. Soon the concerns turned into pure enthusiasm. The ION G13 can do more than you might think at first glance – uphill as well as downhill. Basically the ION G13 is a trail bike with which you can heat over your home trails and enjoy long trail tours… but there’s more. Thanks to its progressive GEOLUTION geometry, the ION G13 takes you uphill even when other bikes are already at their limits. And downhill you take even the steepest passages with a subjective safety like you have never experienced before. The Ion G13 is a bike with an incredibly wide range of use – from the classic tour to the aggressive all-mountain. The ION G13 is the bike we want to ride every day on our own trails.
The reason why the G13 inspires trailbikers and 29er fans so much is on the one hand because of our more than 20 years of experience in the development and production of high-end bikes and on the other hand because we are never too good to try out new approaches. Building on experience, constantly improving and at the same time remaining open to new approaches.
Would you like some examples? In concrete terms, the ION G13 features the high-quality 7000 mm aluminium tube set, the FEM-optimised CNC milled parts and the carefully drawn, almost legendary welding seams. All together result in a frame with maximum rigidity, durability and low weight. The Boost rear suspension provides additional rigidity and tyre clearance, while the elaborately 4-fold sealed ball bearings at all pivot points ensure sensitive response and minimum maintenance. Thanks to the carefully optimized anti-squat values, the ION G13 is very efficient to drive. At the same time, however, it also offers exemplary traction and high reserves if the landing does not go quite as planned. Nothing has been left to chance here. Even if we believe in the advantages of single shifts, you will still find the possibility to mount a front derailleur and double cranks on the ION G13. An ISCG05 adapter for chain guide or Bash-Guard is of course also available.
The GEOLUTION geometry developed by us is the second special feature of the ION G13: “Long, Low & Slack” is not only a trend for us, but a philosophy really thought through to the end. GEOLUTION improves almost every aspect of bike performance – uphill as well as downhill.
Experiential for all types of riders, from experts to beginners. Anyone who has ever fought their way up a steep trail sitting on their saddle nose knows how important an optimal weight distribution is for the climbing ability of a bike. Our GEOLUTION bikes have a steeper seat angle and longer chainstays than currently usual for good reason. This is the only way to keep enough pressure on the front wheel at all times. But also downhill and on technical trails the ION G13 exceeds the expectations of a trail bike.
Every aspect of the bike, from the flat steering angle, the large reach with short stem and of course the carefully balanced weight distribution ensures the unique GEOLUTION handling and riding experience. Believe us, we have tried a lot and are sure: Who has once experienced which security and sovereignty the ION G13 conveys, who has once astonished as before difficult passages are suddenly playfully feasible with it does not want to drive anything else. In order to be able to adapt the ION G13 even better to the needs, the ET key integrated in the rear shock mount has two settings (Low and High). Depending on the position, the geometry is 0.7° steeper or flatter and the bottom bracket higher or lower.
By the way, with a total of 5 frame sizes we are sure to have the right bike for every rider, whether a petite 1.60m biker or the 2-meter man.

Just as performance-oriented and yet the TechLine version differs from the top model QLFLine only in two areas: Spring elements and brakes. The chassis uses a proven Rock Shox Pike RCT3 BOOST suspension fork (140 mm) and a Monarch RT3 shock – both known to be very powerful components – and the brakes feature the proven Magura MT5 four-piston brake, also here with 200/180 mm discs. With the pure SRAM X01 Eagle drive and its 1×12 gears, the transmission ratio range of 500% remains as versatile as the bike itself. Also with the wheels there are of course no compromises, neither in the durability, nor in the performance. The DT Swiss EX1501 29 wheelset with 30 mm rim width and the Continental Mountain King II Protection tyres in 2.4″ width offer high robustness and very good weight. The Bikeyoke Revive Dropper prop with its stepless lowering (160 mm) and the innovative quick-venting system makes the construction coherent. The Renthal carbon handlebar, saddle and handles from Ergon ensured perfect ergonomics at the points of contact with the bike.
Thanks to the TechLine equipment, the ION G13 TechLine continues to achieve a very good overall weight of only 13kg.
With its butter-soft suspension travel and new lightweight design, the Monarch now floats even better over uneven terrain and transforms rugged terrain into a board track for perfect traction. Despite its slim design, the frame offers the necessary resilience and adjustability to effortlessly master hellish terrain and enormous cross-country stretches.
The completely redesigned Pike is completely black for a good reason. This suspension fork heralds a new era in damping performance. It is by no means a trail suspension fork like any other. In her case, all traditional production processes were thrown overboard. The result: The Pike is like a camouflage bomber and was specially designed for trail riders of the new generation. Their damping has a large and extremely soft spring travel. The asymmetrical design of the frame sets new standards in the industry and provides an unbeatable ratio between stiffness, travel and weight, which other manufacturers will probably work on for years to come. But more important for you is that you have a decisive advantage over other drivers.
The RCT3 Charger 2 damping offers more setting options for the low-speed pressure stage in “open” mode and the “pedal” mode has been re-tuned for perfect trail support. The fixed setting has also been improved and better matched to the RockShox dampers. The RockShox Pike RCT3 is equipped with the new DebonAir technology. DebonAir is a further development of the SoloAir air chamber. An enlarged negative air chamber results in improved response and a more linear spring characteristic.
The Enduro version of the SPLINE® ONE line is available with 30 mm rim width. The larger internal width increases the tyre volume with the same tyre width, which improves traction and comfort. The specifically developed surface hardening process allows an unsurpassed ratio of weight to strength and makes the EX 1501 SPLINE® ONE the perfect enduro wheel.

The new Eagle™ rear derailleur not only has a larger capacity; it is also the next stage of the proven X-HORIZON™ technology specially developed for 1x circuits. The larger, lower X-SYNC™ shifting roller with 14 teeth ensures sufficient capacity to handle the cassette with sprockets from 10 to 50 teeth. The design of the rear derailleur is nevertheless compact. It also ensures that you always pedal evenly. Its torque curve is even smoother thanks to the new Type-3 ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH™, so that shifting is quieter and “rounder”.
Proven 4-piston technology from motorcycle racing, adapted for bike use promises maximum braking power. Braking power combined with ergonomics results in a performance package with which you can confidently tackle any trail, any difficult terrain with infinite serenity. The aluminium brake levers are ergonomically located on the hand and allow easy and precise control of the braking power even during long braking processes. The use of Carbotecture® technology in the brake handle housing helps the MT5 to light weight with top braking performance.
